CourtScan / terms
Research support. Professional judgment required.
Use CourtScan as a starting point for source research. The controlling court sources and applicable orders govern.
No advice, approval or filing
The service provides information and editorial drafting assistance. It does not provide legal advice, create a lawyer-client relationship, act for a court or submit filings. No generated packet or statement is court or bar approved or a certification of compliance.
Verify before relying
Coverage may be incomplete and imported metadata may be stale. Confirm the current source, effective dates, amendments, court or judge scope and case-specific orders. You are responsible for the truth of your declarations and any use of exported material. A missing record or missing obligation tag is not a finding that no duty exists.
Availability and storage
The service and dataset may change or be unavailable. Keep your own copies of necessary research and exports. Local browser storage is not a backup service.
